M. Luther King Jr.,, Our lives begin to end the day, we became silent about thing that matter.” I think he mean by that people responses about there actions. Nowadays all our work becomes invaluable and we are starting to get indolent. If we could try to be more responsible no matter how old we’re now, the world would be much better place to live. Even students, scholars can make big changes in there schools or even countries.
In my school there aren’t many actions about pollution or suggestions in countries averment and politic situation. It’s sad for me, to say that economic crisis has affected my school and of course Latvia too. So I think it’s important to not step a side but do something to decrease it. Like do well for people who don’t have home or family. I’m very please to donate my old clothes for someone who hasn’t any, so one of my priorities is trying to involve my age scholars to charity.
Other things like school activities are big matter for us to learn to communicate with others, work in groups and debate about these days’ problems. Like in my school there is a,, Europe club” were we discuss or countries history, and organize competitions were other scholars can learn something about history, and of course be able to work in groups and talk about it.
Sport is another value action that helps us be strong and healthy. Luckily the place I live is a special place where children and teenagers can train. And maybe someday one of these scholars will be a great sportiest, which will present our country in other places, like Olympic Games.
Well but if I could change one important thing about my country, I would change our method of teaching in education.
Education is very crucial to everyone and every country. The future of one country depends on the youth and the youth depends on the education. In my country, students still have to do too much homework so they have less time to play and take part in other interesting activities. They also have to learn by heart all of the contents in the textbook. Students feel tired after school and of course, their results cannot as good as they want. Because of that, to have more excellent students, we should decrease the exercises they must do at home and teach them how to learn effectively so that when they work, they can organize everything properly and precisely.
Education not only decides the future of one country but it also decides the future of the whole world. If the next generation receives a good schooling, they can contribute much for the society with all of their responsibility. To do that, we have to make the students be interested in the lessons not make them be bored when they look at a list of assignments to do. There are many research proved that if the students are willing to learn, their score will be higher because they pay much attention the lessons.
A good method of teaching and learning also express the care of the government in education to develop the country. For example, when a group of professors from another country visit our country and some of our schools, they will see how the teacher works in the class and how the students react to the lessons with the support of modern equipment. If they see both of them well co-operate, they can realize that this country invests a lot in education and the government takes care of the next generation very carefully.
Therefore, if I have a chance to change one important thing in my country, my priority is to make the method of teaching better.
I agree to M. Luther King Jr. quote, because if we don’t do anything about pollution, economic crisis, schoolwork and other thing that matter, we will lose faith in our work, and of course lose our world. So we must take chances by doing significant work to our country, school, community, use time creatively and we can make our words into action.
